the polar dive FAQ's
How much ice do I need to add to the plunge?
In each session, we advise adding 15–40 pounds (7–18 kg) of ice to the Polar Dive, depending on the water's beginning temperature. The temperature of your tap water, the climate in which you reside, and the desired level of cold all influence how much ice is required. It might not even be necessary to add ice if you reside in a colder climate.
The Polar Dive dimensions, water capacity and weight limit?
Dimensions
Diameter: 32 inches (80cm)
Height: 30 inches (75cm)

How often should I change the water?
We recommend changing the water once a week, or every 3-5 sessions.
How long should I sit in the cold plunge for?
You must submerge yourself for three to eight minutes in cold water that is below 59º Fahrenheit (15°C) in order to get the health advantages. The ideal temperature and time combination for cold water therapy is different as every person is unique, some may tolerate lower temperatures than others.
How do I drain my Polar Dive?
There is a draining tap located at the bottom of the Polar Dive. Use a normal garden hose and a 1/2-inch male thread-to-hose adaptor (available at your neighborhood home supply store) to drain it. In some cases, depending on how the pod is configured, you can even open the tap without a hose attached.
Can the Polar Dive be set up outside?
Yes!
You may set up the pod indoors or outdoors, even in below-freezing temperatures, because we engineered it to be weather and UV resistant. The water turns to ice much more slowly because to the insulating layer, but stirring the water at least once a day is still advised to prevent it from freezing solid.
What temperatures do you recommend?
We recommend starting out with your ice bath tub temperature at around 59° Fahrenheit (15°C) if it's your first time, and then slowly lowering the temperature and duration for each session. That way your body will get acclimated to the cold.
For the seasoned ice vikings, get the water below 50°F to really feel the kick, and stay in for at least 2 minutes for optimal benefits.
water chiller FAQ's
Does the chiller work with my current ice bath?
Yes. The chiller can easily be used with your current IcePod or even any form of other ice bath.
Connect to your existing Polar Dive (1 drain valve):Â You simply connect the hose entering the water filter side of the chiller, to the drain valve on your IcePod. And the second hose coming from the chiller outlet, goes into the IcePod over the top ring/edge.
Connect to any other Ice Bath:
You can also connect the chiller to any ice bath, bathtub, bucket - you name it. The chiller comes with pump and filter, so you simply put both hoses from the chiller into any body of water to start cooling it. If your tub doesn't have a bottom valve to connect it to, you will need to siphon water into the inlet hose to start the circulation, please refer to youtube on how to siphon - this is necessary as the pump can not start the circulation of water if there are air in the hoses.
How cold can it make my water?
The chiller can coolup to 130 gal. of water down to 41°F (5°C) in climates with temperatures below 85°F (30°C).
Will the chiller make my electricity bill much more?
No! The Power usage is only 280 watt, which is comparable to the freezer/fridge in your home.
How much money will I save on ice?
Assuming each ice bath session requires around 20lbs of ice on average, and with an average cost of $3 per 10lbs, we have calculated that at 5 ice baths per week, the chiller cost is made back in 3-5 months. Then you can also consider all the hassle saved from buying/making ice and the water filtration system built into the chiller saving you lots of water and time.Â
How is the chiller so cheap compared to competitors?
This is a common question, but the solution is actually quite easy. At The Polar Dive, our main goal is to make healthy habits affordable for everyone. That way, you can buy a luxurious ice bath without having to sell your kidney.
Due to the fact that we created our water chiller from the ground up utilizing parts from chest freezers, it is less expensive than those of our rivals. We also optimize our production process to cut labor expenses, focus on important features without adding superfluous ones, and order very big stock quantities to negotiate the best pricing with our suppliers for materials and components.
Without the exorbitant markup that the majority of other brands use on their ice baths, our water chiller is a premium and reasonably priced solution for your ice bath demands.
Can I keep the water chiller outside?
Yes!
The chiller is water resistant, so it will not get damaged from humidity and weather. With that said, we do always recommend keeping it under a shaded spot/cover/shelter/overhanging roof to protect from bad weather and direct sunlight as these factors can negatively impact its performance & lifespan.
Security measures should also be taken such as bringing the chiller indoors if it's lightning or storming outside.Â
Important:Â Please do not cover it with anything like a cover while it's running as it needs to be able to get airflow so it can cool down, and always have at least 15 inches of space around the chiller.
What is the decibel level of the water chiller?
The water chiller is very quiet and the readings that we have made range from 40-45 decibel so around the same noise level as a fridge.Â
home steam sauna faq's
how hot does it get?
The Home Steam Sauna can reach temperatures of 120-130°F (49-54°C) in a cool environment and 140-160°F (60-71°C) in a warm environment.. However, the effect of the humidity generated by the steam device will create an environment that feels 180°F (82°C). Studies have proven wet saunas to provide greater physiological benefit than dry saunas, and raising the temperature to over 160°F (69°C) would become dangerous.
How long does it take to set up?
The Home Steam Sauna can be set up in less than 5 minutes. Just unpack the foldable Sauna and connect the Steam Device. After 10-20 minutes, the Sauna will reach peak temperature.
Can I use it indoors and outdoors?
Absolutely! The Home Steam Sauna is perfect for both indoor and outdoor destinations.
How do I clean it?
The inside of the heat-insulated cover is designed to prevent mold and bacteria buildup. We recommend wiping down the vapors after use and leaving the flap door open.
